• A Little About Me

Hello, and thank you for being here.

I was born in Brazil, but I've called America my home for many years now. Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember — as a little girl, I was always drawing, crafting, or creating something with my hands. That quiet joy of making never left me.

I studied visual arts in school and later worked as an art teacher, sharing the creative spark with others while continuing to grow in my own practice. Over time, I found myself drawn more and more to the peacefulness of nature — the shapes of leaves, the colors of birds, the gentle presence of animals. Nature is my constant source of inspiration, and it speaks a language I understand.

In all that I create, I am ever mindful of the hand of God, the Creator of all things. My work is an attempt to reflect the beauty and wonder that He has placed in this world, and my devotion to Him guides my paintings.

I love quiet moments: hiking in the woods, reading a good book, or simply sitting watching the rain or the snow from a window. My art has to do with those still, soul-filling moments — created slowly, intentionally, and with heart.

This is my guide for life and art : “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might” Ecclesiastes 9:10. It is more than just a favorite quote to me; it’s a guiding principle for how I live and create. It reminds me to pour my heart into everything I do, whether I’m painting a tiny bird, stitching a miniature book, or preparing an order with care.

In both life and art, I believe in doing things with intention, excellence, and quiet joy — not striving for perfection, but offering my best in service to the Creator who gave me these gifts. Each piece I make is an expression of my gratitude to God, to my family, friends, and those who I never met in person, but appreciate my art.

Thank you for supporting my handmade art and little business.

    With love,

    Mary Burns
