Born in Brazil, Mary Burns is an artist whose creative journey has crossed borders and enriched lives. Trained in Visual Arts, Mary has a deep-rooted history in the world of art; she not only worked as an elementary art teacher but also practiced as a professional artist in her home country. Since 2015, she has called the United States her home, specifically Arnold, Missouri, where she has her own art studio.

Mary specializes in watercolor paintings, a medium that allows her to express her vibrant and versatile artistic voice. Her work spans a broad range of subjects—from evocative portraits that delve into the soul of her subjects, to architectural motifs that stir a nostalgic sense of time and place.

But Mary's art goes beyond the visual aesthetics of composition, color combinations, and brush strokes. She aspires to instill in each piece her love for the natural world and the ethereal beauty that surrounds us. For her, each painting is not just a visual panorama but an emotional narrative. When you own a Mary Burns original or print, you’re not just acquiring art—you’re bringing home a piece of her passion for conserving the precious world around us and celebrating the sublime beauty of nature.

Her favorite quote encapsulates her philosophy on life and art: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might." (Ecclesiastes 9:10) This creed resounds in each stroke of her brush, marrying talent and zeal to create pieces that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.

Welcome to the world of Mary Burns—a place where art meets soul, beauty intersects with purpose, and every painting tells a story.
